Description   One custom TEC brand transmission protection kit with HD cooler. Transmission Exchange Co. pioneered the automatic protection kit. This kit will work for almost any automatic transmission w/ 3/8" cooler lines (inquire if you're not sure about yours), but is specifically designed for Ford 7.3L diesel transmissions that require special Mercon SP fluid. It includes 29,000 GVW LONG TRU-COOL transmission oil cooler, fittings, hoses and clamps, and special transmission fluid additive. This "platinum" additive allows you to spend much less money by using Dexron 6 fluid instead of Mercon SP. Also comes with a cooler return line chart for your convenience. Dimensions on the cooler are 11"W x 11"H x 1.5"D. Overheating is the leading cause of transmission failure. Installing a Protection Kit with cooler is the single most effective way to prevent automatic transmission failure. If you have a 1998-up Dodge Cummins Diesel, your transmission will have 1/2" cooler lines - see store for that kit.
